This richly textured program begins with Mendelssohn’s Songs Without Words, offering intimate lyricism without a single sung note. Michael Torke’s After the Forest Fire brings shimmering resilience, while Osvaldo Golijov’s Mariel reflects on memory and loss. Fauré’s Piano Quintet in C minor closes the evening with sweeping romanticism and emotional depth.
