Concerts: Season Finale

Back to All Concerts

The season ends with a meditation on family, life, and nature. Mozart’s stark but moving E minor sonata was written after the death of his beloved mother. Kevin Puts’ Seascapes – inspired by diverse poets musing’s on the sea – brings this summer’s water theme to an appropriate close. Josef Suk was not only a superb composer, but also the son-in-law of fellow Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, whose rollicking Quintet for Strings provides a brilliant conclusion to the season.
