Jessica Lee, violin
Violinist Jessica Lee, First Prize Winner of the 2005 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, is widely sought after as both a soloist and chamber musician in the US and abroad. Current highlights for Jessica include her debut recitals at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium and on Ravinia’s “Rising Stars” series. Her 2006 concerto debut at Alice Tully Hall was broadcast twice on WQXR-FM and she was featured in the “Launch Pad” of The Strad (June 2007), as the magazine’s “pick of up-and-coming musicians”. Other recent engagements include Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, recitals at the Phillips Collection in Washington DC, Caramoor Festival, and Purdue University, as well as tours with the Guarneri Quartet and Musicians from Marlboro. An active chamber musician, Ms. Lee is a member of the Johannes String Quartet and has appeared at such festivals as Marlboro Music, Santa Fe, Bridgehampton, Giverny, and Caramoor Rising Stars. She has also collaborated with some of the leading artists of our time, such as Mitsuko Uchida, Gilbert Kalish, Arnold Steinhardt, and Gary Graffman. A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and Juilliard, her principal teachers include Robert Mann, Ida Kavafian, and Weigang Li. She resides in New York.
