Executive Director, Derek Delaney
Derek Delaney joined the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival just prior to the 2007 summer season and was appointed Executive Director at the close of the Festival. An arts administrator for over ten years, he has worked with some of the leading musicians from around the world.
Derek comes to Bridgehampton having spent the previous eight years as Assistant Manager of the renowned Marlboro Music Festival and as Development Director of the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society – two diverse organizations working symbiotically toward serving music at the highest level. At both organizations, he worked with the management team and board in all aspects both artistic and operational, establishing his deep commitment to musicians and the furthering of music.
A native Long Islander, Derek is a former horn player, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from Juilliard and his Master’s Degree from Yale University, studying with James Chambers, Ranier DeIntinis and Paul Ingraham.
